While the hand is very traditional here, drawing on US, French and Eastern European barrels and an ancient basket press, for example, the style is implacable. In the best sense. Old school, one could say. But I would retort that the wines are this consistently delicious and nourishing, why change? This is the address to visit when seeking full flavour delivered in an intuitive fashion founded on rich red and dark accents, florals, liqueur bon bon and s sumptuous kit of finely extracted grape tannins and, for the most part, reasonably well applied oak.
